I forgot to save the file.... So all over again...
Do you notice I added some highlights to the leaf.

I added a shape and change its blend mode.

Now I need to make the leaf an arc like the photo.

Illustrator: Biscuit Text [Part 1]

First, the text, I added more gap too (Red circle)

Then, I started to make the corners, biscuits have soft corner right?

Making the small corner into a pattern brush.
I just realize I forgot to set the color mode to tint.

Adding the bigger corners...

Half way there!

Finally done with that!

Then I started to draw lines between the big corners to apply the brush.

Done!

Illustrator: Knitting Text Effect [Part 2] [Done!]

After finished the yarnball, I then started to make the thread.

Making the thread into a brush.

Then apply it one my path which spelled my name~
Seriously I add those yarnballs one by one,
because mine text was way too curvy for the brush to keep the original form.

The result image.

I also made one for my friend Angela, spelled her cat's name: Mimi
The yarn's color was Mimi's fur color ;)

Illustrator: Knitting Text Effect [Part 1]

A new Illustrator project! I'm planning to done it today.

Doing the threads on the yarn ball with the line tool.

Using the Shape Builder Tool (Shift+M), I deleted the parts that I don't need them.

Doing the same thing with another parts.

Fill it with black to unite the colors.

Doing the same thing to the outer circle, and a yarn ball was done!

A yarn ball can't be complete without a needle!
