Photoshop: Oil Paint Effect

Speaking of oil paint, the first picture that comes to my mind was The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh.

Inspired by the art, I decided to make an oil paint art of the night sky too.

But I am not an oil paint artist, so I can't make it using real paints. (I will probably ruin the canvas lol)

So... Photoshop came to rescue.

I found this picture online, which contain bright stars.

First added the light effects to preserve the details.

Then added the effect more and layer masked it.

The result was fine, although not as complicate as Vincent van Gogh's
